Virginia L Schuh

Virginia L. Schuh, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on February 3, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on November 7, 1954, in Englewood, New Jersey, Virginia enriched the lives of those around her with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit.

Virginia was predeceased by her parents, Anthony Corring and Virginia Corring (nee Nichols), who instilled in her a strong work ethic and a compassionate heart. She is deeply survived by her only child, her best friend, and loving daughter, Lauren Morelli, and her husband Frank. Virginia’s granddaughter, Emma Morelli, was the joy of her life, whom she cherished more than anything and nurtured with love.

Virginia leaves behind her older brother, Richard and Ana Corring of Florida, and her brother Ronald Corring of New York. Their bonds strengthened over the years, each sharing in memories that reflect the affectionate values instilled in them by their parents.

For 38 years, Virginia dedicated herself to the United States Postal Service, serving various communities including Fort Lee, Ridgefield Park, Paramus, Oradell, and Livingston. She retired in 2011 from her role as Postmaster, leaving behind not just a career, but countless memories and friendships made along the way.

An avid gardener, cook, and baker, Virginia cherished the times spent in the kitchen with her daughter Lauren and granddaughter Emma. Her radiant spirit shone brightly in her special moments with Emma, be it teaching her to ride a scooter, visiting Van Saun Park for rides on the train and carousel, or enjoying sunny days at the splash pads. The bond they shared was a true testament to the love that filled her heart.

Virginia was a vibrant presence in her condo community, where she enjoyed playing cards, participating in bingo nights, and engaging in meaningful conversations in the lobby with her friends over popcorn. Her smile and laughter lit up the room, reminding everyone of the importance of connection and community.

A music enthusiast, Virginia found solace and joy in Classic Rock and R&B. She sang along to her favorite bands and artists, including America, Fleetwood Mac, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Madonna, REM, and Ozzy Osbourne. Her appreciation for music added rhythm to her life and was often shared with her daughter during family outings, particularly at the Jersey Shore, where they dined at her favorite seafood restaurant, "The Shrimp Box," on Long Beach Island and Point Pleasant.

Virginia's caring nature was evident in her dedicated role as the primary caregiver to her mother during her final months, showing compassion and grace through the challenges. She also lovingly cared for her granddaughter Emma during the early years of her life, a role that brought her immense joy and fulfillment.

As we remember Virginia, let us celebrate the good times shared and the countless smiles she brought into our lives. She was truly one of a kind—a fierce fighter until the end. Virginia L. Schuh will be dearly missed but will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her.
