Ronald J Kida

Ronald Kida, 78, of Creskill, NJ, passed away on September 8th, 2026 with his beloved sons by his side.

Born in Teaneck, NJ and raised in Palisades Park, Ron spent the majority of his career serving the town of Palisades Park, where he built lasting relationships with the community he cared for.

Ron was a devout Catholic who found great comfort in attending mass and giving back to the Church. He was a sports fan and enthusiastic sports collector who enjoyed collecting sports cards of his favorite New York Yankees. Most of all he cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren — always checking in to hear about their latest games, activities, and achievements. Known for his quick wit and love of cracking jokes, Ron took a genuine interest in everyone he met. Anyone who got to know him always looked forward to talking with him, and he will be deeply missed by all who loved him.

Ron is survived by his loving wife, Carmela Kida; his sons and daughters-in-law, Darrel and Keri Kida and Adam and Dorothy Kida, his grandchildren, Ava, Ella, Jacob, and Nathan; and his sister, Martha Whitehead.

A viewing will be held on Friday, September 11th, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Frank Patti & Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home in Fort Lee, NJ. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 12th, at 10:00 AM at St. Nicholas Church in Palisades Park, NJ.
