Ramon Peter Nardone

Ramon (Ray) Nardone was born on May 27, 1930, in Westerly, Rhode Island. He graduated from the University of Rhode Island, Class of ’53 with a degree in civil engineering. Following graduation, Ray served briefly as an officer in the United States Air Force until the conclusion of the Korean War. He later joined the National Guard.

Ray’s professional accomplishments include having worked on the Lunar Excursion Module (LEM), while a civil engineer at Grumman Aerospace in Bethpage, Long Island. He also taught engineering at Fairleigh Dickinson University and the Stevens Institute of Technology.

Ray is survived by his wife of 62 years, Arpi; his children, Peter and Richard; and his 4 grandchildren, Anya, Katya, Savina and Santino. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Beatrice, brother Gerard and sister Angela.

He passed away on April 5, 2025 at the age of 94 and will be greatly missed by all.
