Patrick G. Karageorge, a cherished husband, father, and community figure, passed away on March 28, 2026, in Fort Lee, New Jersey. Born on June 25, 1936, in Samos, Greece, Patrick's life was marked by devotion to family, service to his country, and a warm spirit that endeared him to all who knew him.

Patrick proudly served in the United States Army, demonstrating a commitment to his nation that mirrored the steadfastness he exhibited throughout his life. After his military service, he went on to become the beloved owner of the Fort Lee diner, where his welcoming presence and kind heart made the establishment a cornerstone of the community for many years.

Known for his vivacious personality, Patrick was truly the life of the party. His warmth, kindness, and loving nature resonated not only with his family but also with friends and acquaintances. Always the captain of family celebrations, he was affectionately known as "captain video," capturing every joyous moment on camera, ensuring that laughter and memories would be preserved for generations to come. Indeed, he was a man who loved spending time with his family above all else.

Patrick was a devoted husband to his wife, Georgia Karageorge, who stands by his side in remembrance of their many years together. He was the best father anyone could ask for, a sentiment echoed by his daughter Mersina Dacunha and his late son, Gus Karageorge. His family tree flourishes with the love he sowed, including his grandchildren Dylan, Porsha, and Brandon Dacunha; Nicole and Michael Brusco; Michael Karageorge; and his great-grandchildren Ariana and James Brusco. Patrick is also remembered fondly by his sister Mary Temples Karageorge and his son-in-law Antonio DaCunha and daughter-in-law Cindy Karageorge. He was preceded in death by his parents Gus and Erato Karageorge and his brothers William and George Karageorge.

A visitation to honor Patrick’s memory will be held on April 1, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Frank Patti & Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home at 327 Main Street, Fort Lee, NJ 07024. The funeral service will follow on April 2, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM at the St. John The Theologian Greek Orthodox Cathedral, located at 353 East Clinton Avenue, Tenafly, NJ 07670.
