Niala Sasha Chariandy (July 2nd, 1982 – July 12th, 2026) 44, passed away on Sunday, July 12th 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Niala grew up in Petit Valley, Trinidad. From an early age, she possessed remarkable selflessness aiding in caring for her ill mother. At 21, she had her daughter, Jada-Anne which forever changed her. Her life was centered around sacrificing and supporting her daughter and their bond was like no other. Niala truly walked in her purpose when she became a mother, not only for her daughter but to all children she interacted with, caring deeply and uniquely.
Driven by her strength, Niala conquered her battle with Cancer in 2021, and against all odds she had her son, Cole in 2023 alongside her life partner David. Their love for each other brought a new light into her life. They experienced life together loving each other unconditionally and whole heartily each day. "Cole Cole" became the apple of her eye, keeping her busy on her feet each day, always ensuring she had lots to do.
Above all, Niala's greatest love was her family. She believed in supporting and encouraging others and found great joy in making a meaningful difference in the lives of those around her. She attracted all those around her with her generosity, kindness and care. She treasured time spent with those she loved and was always the first to show up to help with everyone's problems. She possessed a uniqueness of being good at every and anything in which she gave a helping hand on every occasion without being asked. Her smile and laugh so contagious and never forgotten, it lit up any room and brightened any mood.
Niala's life was a beautiful reflection of kindness, compassion and unconditional love. She leaves behind not only family and friends who adored her, but also her impactful warmth and kindness which will live on forever in each of us.
