Mary T. Lampson, née Palumbo, born July 9, 1925, in New York City, NY, passed away on April 23, 2026, in Philadelphia, PA. She was a beloved figure whose kindness, generosity, and heartfelt spirit touched all who knew her.
Mary dedicated 30 years of her professional life to Denz Packaging of Cliffside Park, where she was a valued employee. Beyond her career, she was deeply involved in her community, notably as a proud member of the Elks Woman Club of Secaucus. Her passion for bingo was well-known; she was not only an enthusiastic player but also served as a caller and organizer of bus trips for the Fort Lee Senior Center, bringing joy and connection to many.
Those close to Mary remember her as a woman of warmth and dependability—“always there when you needed her.” Her capacity for kindness and her generous heart manifested in countless moments, leaving an enduring legacy of care and friendship.
Mary is survived by her sisters, Margaret Monsees and Anna Palumbo, who cherish her memory and the bond they shared. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews spanning 3 generations. She was preceded in death by her sons, Joseph Lampson and Thomas Lampson, as well as her brother Joseph Nicholas Palumbo, brothers Thomas Palumbo and Anthony Palumbo, and sister Concetta Falotico.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the visitation held on May 1, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Frank Patti & Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home, located at 327 Main St, Fort Lee, NJ 07024. The funeral will leave on Saturday morning and all are welcome at the funeral home at 10 am. A Mass in her honor will follow on May 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Madonna R.C. Church on the Hill, 2070 Hoeflys Lane, Fort Lee, NJ 07024.
Mary T. Lampson’s life was one marked by devotion to family, community, and the simple joys that bring people together. Her spirit will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
