Marilyn E Garritano

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Marilyn E. Garritano of Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey on July 9, 2025, at the age of 88.

Marilyn was born April 1, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York to parents Esther Castiglione and Anthony Bei. To know her was to know strength. She didn’t sugarcoat life, she faced it head on, and she taught those around her to do the same. Whether it was offering a blunt truth, a helping hand, or a perfectly timed one liner, she did so with a clarity and confidence that made everyone feel both grounded and loved.

She was sharp, bold, and unapologetically herself, qualities that made her unforgettable. Though she had a tough exterior, those who knew her well saw the tenderness behind it. She loved her family fiercely and took immense pride in the life and legacy she helped build.

She is survived by her devoted son, who loved her deeply, her three granddaughters, one grandson, and four great-grandchildren, three girls and one boy, all of whom will carry pieces of her spirit, strength, and love forward.

Her memory will live on in the stories we tell, the lessons she taught, and the courage she passed down through generations. She may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. Her voice, strength and love will continue through our lives forever.

The family will receive their friends on Wednesday from 11-12pm at the funeral home. A service for Marilyn will be held on July 16, 2025 at 12:15pm at Frank Patti Funeral Home.
