Dill, Lucille, nee Filippi, on January 4, 2026 She was born in the Bronx , New York on February 20, 1926, to the Late Nicholas and Rose Filippi (nee: Cristantiello).
She graduated from Evander Childs High School
Lucille started her career in the “Steno Pool” of the Engineering Department of California / Texas Oil Company in New York City, and after 10 years of service, she left to have and raise her only child, Denise.
Years later, she worked for the Patent Scaffolding Company in Fort Lee, New Jersey as Secretary to their Director of Engineering and retired after 16 years of service.
Lucille was a resident of Fort Lee, NJ for over 65 years and a parishioner of the Church of Madonna.
She was a devoted mother to her cherished daughter Denise Lafurno (Robert), loving sister to Janice DeLuise, dear aunt to niece, Kristine Fornaby, great nieces Rebecca and Sarah Fornaby, and nephew Nicholas Filippi.
She was predeceased by her husband of 20 years James Dill, brother Anthony Filippi, wife Argia and niece, Gail Filippi and brother-in-law Daniel DeLuise.
In celebration of Lucille’s life, a Memorial Mass will be held at the Church of The Madonna in Fort Lee, New Jersey at a later date. Her cremation was private.
