John F. Stendor

John F. Stendor, of Leonia, NJ, passed away early Sunday morning on August 3rd, 2025, at the age of 71.

Born and raised in Sussex, NJ, John spent the first 20 years of his life there before beginning a new chapter in Leonia, where he built a life with his wife, Kathy and son, Nolan. He quickly became a dedicated and active member of the community. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus in Leonia for 40 years and volunteered with the Leonia Volunteer Ambulance Corp for 20 years.

John worked as a data analyst for Citibank for over 45 years, where he was admired for his intellect, dedication, and unwavering work ethic.

He is survived by his beloved son, Nolan Stendor; his devoted wife, Kathleen Stendor of Leonia; and his brother, Michael Stendor and his wife, Maria Stendor of Franklin.

John was predeceased by his father, John J. Stendor; his loving mother, Annette Stendor; and his brother, Daniel Stendor, all of Sussex.

Friends and family may pay their respects from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6th, 2025, at the Frank Patti Funeral Home, 327 Main Street, Fort Lee, NJ 07024.

A Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 7th, at St. John’s the Evangelist Church, 470 Broad Avenue, Leonia, NJ 07605.
