Elizabeth "Betty" Wright

Elizabeth “Betty" Wright (nee Monnet), 79, of Leonia, NJ, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018. Born on this day, July 2, 1938, she was raised in Ogdensburg, NY by her late parents Henry and Rachel Monnet (nee Spamen). She proudly served in the nursing field, first as a public health nurse, then as clinical director at Hackensack Medical Center Home Health Care Services. Betty was a member of the Leonia Women’s Club and New Jersey Nurses Association. She was an avid fan of the Yankees and late night jazz in New York City. She also enjoyed swimming and crafts. Devoted mother to Leah and Douglas Wright (wife Tristan), cherished grandmother to Holiday and Maile Wright, and loving sister to Sheila Monnet (husband Alan Wurtzel), Betty will be greatly missed by many friends and family. Her family will receive guests on Wednesday, July 4, from 3-7 PM at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street, Fort Lee, NJ “opposite the Fort Lee Library”. A funeral mass to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, July 5, at St. John The Evangelist Roman Catholic church in Leonia, beginning at 10am.
