Elaine Santaite, cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and beloved member of her community, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026, in Palisades Park, New Jersey. Born on November 9, 1935, in North Bergen, New Jersey, Elaine’s life was marked by devotion to her family, a love for her Florida home, and the simple joys found in Sunday gravy and crossword puzzles.
Elaine was a loving wife to the late Vincent Santaite. She was a devoted mother to Debbie Federico and her husband Frank; Wendy Vanore and her husband Brian; Elaine Klein and her husband Craig; and Fred Santaite and his wife Mary. Elaine’s warmth extended to her cherished grandchildren—Jeffrey, Kevin, Stephanie and Michael; Elaine and Jaclyn; Vinney, Ashley, Fred and Amanda; Samantha and Craig—each of whom held a special place in her heart. She was also a proud great grandmother to 21, the matriarch of a large and loving family.
Elaine was the sister of Geraldine Landoline and the late Patricia Zaccone. She embraced her roles with grace and dedication, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness.
Her family and friends are invited to pay their respects at a visitation on April 17, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Frank Patti & Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home, located at 327 Main Street in Fort Lee, New Jersey. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on April 18, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St Michael Roman Catholic Church, 19 E Central Blvd, Palisades Park, New Jersey. Entombent will follow at Madonna Cemetery, 2070 Hoefleys Lane, Fort Lee, beginning at 11:45 a.m.
Elaine’s life was one of quiet strength and loving commitment, felt deeply by all who knew her. May she rest in peace, remembered fondly by her family and friends, and forever honored for the impact she made on their lives.
