Charles E Stark

Charles E Stark, 80, of New Milford, NJ and formerly of Palisades Park, NJ born on April 1, 1946, passed away on August 24, 2026, leaving behind a remarkable legacy spanning eight decades. He was a retired Sergeant with the Palisades Park Police Department. He also was very handy and in his spare time he enjoyed cutting down trees,  "tinkering" with anything that was broken and lending a hand on construction sites and always had any tool you could imagine at his fingertips.  His life was marked by devotion to family, steadfastness in relationships, and the bonds he cultivated throughout the years.

Charles’s memory is honored and cherished by his beloved children: his son, Charles Scott Stark, his daughter, Jennifer Stark and his daughter, Heather Kerrigan. He is fondly remembered by his grandchildren—Charles Justin "Buddyhead", Alexa, Shane, and Lukas—who will carry forward his spirit and values.

Charles nurtured enduring connections with his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his siblings: Helen Dyell, Barbara Burke, Roger Hitchcock, Nancy Dancy, Melinda Sottolano, Robert Stark, Winet Stark, and Thomas Stark. Each relationship reflected his loyalty and the care he extended within the family.

He was predeceased by his father, Edward Hitchcock, and his mother, Edna Shannon, whose influences undoubtedly shaped his own approach to life and family. Their memories remained important to Charles throughout his life.

The family will receive friends and relatives for visitation on August 27, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Frank Patti & Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home, 327 Main St, Fort Lee, NJ 07024. A funeral service will be held at the same location on August 28, 2026, beginning at 11:30 AM and concluding at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, 234 Paramus Rd, Paramus, NJ 07652, beginning at 1:00 PM.
