Bernard J. Coyle

Bernard J. Coyle born January 3, 1933, aged 93 of Whiting, NJ formerly of Edgewater, NJ. Passed peacefully on May 28, 2026. He was pre-deceased by his wife Mary Elizabeth (nee: McNamee) , his parents Joseph and Margaret and his brothers Joseph and Buddy.

Beloved father of Kevin M and his wife Ann Marie, Daniel J, Mary Agnes, Kathryn Ann, Bernadette Mara and her husband Ray, Thomas J and his wife Ann Marie, Peggy Corvino and her husband Vinny, and Jenny Marie. Proud grandfather of 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Dear nephew of Joseph Coyle and his wife Pat.

Bernard was a founding original member of the Edgewater Volunteer Fire Department Company #1. He was a Past Commander of American Legion Post 116 in Edgewater, NJ and a Past Commander of VFW Post 277 in Ridgefield Park, NJ

The family will receive their friends on Sunday from 2-6 pm. The funeral will leave Monday at 9:30 am for the celebration of his funeral mass in Holy Rosary RC Church Edgewater at 10 am. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia or the Charity of your Choice.
