Alfred D. Crovatto

Alfred “Al” Crovatto, age 86 passed away on Tuesday September 1, 2026, surrounded by love. He was born in Jersey City to Emma and Dominick Crovatto and raised in Union City. He later spent most of his life residing in Leonia, where he raised his family. Al’s life purpose was to be a father. A Devoted dad to Laura and Mark who were the center of his world. Beloved husband of the late Diane nee: Seman. He is also survived by his nephews John, Drew, JK, and his niece Mary Anne.

Al was outgoing, personable, funny and strong willed. He could strike up a conversation with anybody. He loved sports, especially his passion for the New York Mets and Rutgers Football. A graduate of Rutgers School of Pharmacy, Al will also be remembered for his long, dedicated career as a pharmacist. “Any man can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a dad.” Al was that kind of dad! His love and devotion to his children and family will remain with them forever and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive their friends on Friday September 4th from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. A Private Funeral for family and close friends will be Saturday September 5th at 11:00 AM.
